Peninsula Homes Group (PHG), is a California corporation founded byTom Frederiksen and Karen Mabli in 2006. Tom is a licensed General Contractor (CA License #912938) with over 40 years of experience in building custom homes in California and Arizona. Karen has been in construction and remodeling for over 25 years. She specializes in home design, kitchen and bath planning and project management. Using a team approach, we at PHG provide clients with a successful and satisfying building or remodeling experience.

Our Technical Expertise
On an operational basis, Tom provides the technical oversight and management of our skilled labor staff as well as subcontractors and architectural/engineering consultants. He has hands on working experience in structures, foundations, framing and electrical. In most cases we do the site preparation, excavation, foundation and hardscape using our own equipment and employees. Tom also provides an experienced source of value engineering, by often interpreting the architect’s concepts into a more cost-effective building application.
Community Relations and Building Codes
We have developed excellent working relationships with the city officials of the planning and building departments in the South Bay communities of Palos Verdes Estates, RPV, Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Rolling Hills, Rolling Hills Estates and Torrance. We understand the building codes and can work with the requirements from every aspect.
PHG completed the first residence built to the new California Green Building Requirements in Palos Verdes Estates.
